Information about Mrs. Hartley

This is the beginning of my twenty second year of teaching, and I am proud to say
that twenty of them have been at Spofford Pond School. I've spent all but one of those
years teaching third graders, and in my opinion, they are the most fun to teach!

Before coming to Boxford, I taught third grade for two years at an
elementary school in Randolph, MA -- the very same school that I attended as
a third grader! Outside of school, I enjoy gardening, decorating, collecting
antiques, scrapbooking, reading, listening to music, painting, and eating
chocolate -- particularly Snickers bars!!

During the weekends, I like to take day trips with my husband, our son Eli,
and our dogs Teddy and Maisy or to visit my family and our friends whenever
possible.

This year I look forward to doing many exciting things in the classroom.
Every year is a new adventure, and that's what makes teaching so
terrific!

Mission For The Class

Dear Students,
Wonder and excitement await you each day! We are going to do many
challenging things together in class this year. Sometimes learning new
skills will seem difficult, but if you work hard, have a positive
attitude, and believe in yourself, you'll be amazed at how much you'll
accomplish.

A student who chooses to apply their best effort is one who will achieve
great things both in school and in life, so come to class every day with a
smile and welcome the day's challenges with enthusiasm!
